Great source then.. a study I can't read that apprently followed a HUGE sampling of 24 students and doesnt even tell me what those students were studying or WHERE they studied... great source for your previous bravose claim. Examples? This may be true, although im having trouble thinking of even one example of anyone I knew that was studying something that didnt intend to use that to further a career post-graduate. But even if true this would be a huge minority in comparison of areas of studies offered. You seem to think it encompasses all University studies. It tells me the job market sucks right now because the economy is (*)(*)(*)(*). Or haven't you heard? Not that those jobs are being filled by people with GEDs.
If you don't see a difference in getting a loan for education compared to getting a loan for a luxury, that's your inability to comprehend, not mine. Not to mention you cons are making a mountain out of a mole hill again. Were talking twenty years here. Any money not paid will most likely be insignificant.
Rush Limbaugh commented on this today.he brought up something I remember Obama saying he'll do { in his campaign } or he did do early on his term about tracking via cell phones those with student loans to make sure they understand that Government isn't going to let them forget all about paying back that loan.Just to make sure they'll have to submit a cell phone #.
Sounds like the incoherent gibberish Limbaugh typically spouts. No wonder the Baggers love him. Meanwhile Obama's plan makes good sense and will help those who should be helped -- educated Americans caught up the Bush scam to make them pay for the rich. Used to be you could bankrupt out of student loans like any other debt -- the GOP made sure that minimum wage workers were saddled with debt forever.
Hows about a loan to go after Sharks.Y'know like Crocodile Hunter. To be a Shark Hunter. I was so tired in college with all the things I dint wannabe. I dint wanna be a Cop or a Fireman.A businessman or Doctor or even lawyer. So I Majored in Space with a minor in Broad jump.
Yeah really cheap ones. I don't recommend buying them or flying Nairobi airways or getting a cheapo education. What is it with the **********s and their desire to turn the US into a third world economy.
Where did you come up with that.I was under the Impression that Student Loans ALWAYS had to be repaid. They staed on ones record until payed off. There was NO forgiving of Student Loan debt. In fact,I've known guys who had to sweat for years over their student loan debts.
I agree with Ron Paul on this one. We should do away with the entire student loan program. Commies are never gonna pay their fair share, and tax payers will never see the money the government gave away.
OK first off, I get upset when conmike, tex, and others call me a liberal, but it really pisses me off when I get called a conservative. Secondly, I am not the one that has a comprehension problem. I know there are different types of loans. Why do you think that student LOANS are different and do not need to be paid back? They are not grants, they are loans. The individual who took out the loans obtained something with the money and should have to pay it. Third, maybe it is a mole hill in some people opinion, but that doesnt explain why you claim they are being penalized. Again for the 3rd time, I will ask...Why do you believe they are being penalized?
We have liftoff -- **********s for less education and less educated people. Why don't you just come out and say it -- you fear an educated American electorate.
Nope. Student loans used to be dischargable. This was abused by a few doctors and lawyers who got very useful degress and then declared bankruptcy. This was a real problem. But the GOP "solution" was to punish hard working people who got a good education but didn't make a lot a money. It is now virtually impossible to bankrupt out of a student loan. I believe there has only been one instance since the GOP imposed this upon the nation.
Really? So let me get this straight. If I go and borrow money and then take that money and spend it on something/anything, this is considered a loan? That's kinda weird, why would you have to repay something like this. Shouldnt the banks or the government just forgive the loans if we ask them too?
We can see that it has certainly helped you. Not. Not if their future products of public education are going to have your intellectual capacity. They might as well work and away from your failing public schools Good to know that you don't actually care about the skyrocketing cost of education. After all, why would anyone want the cost to come down?
I told you it was just a footnote. Relax buddy. The fact that people are graduating not knowing what the real world is like is example enough. Very few college majors doesn't prepare you for your field that you trying to work in. It's merely a means to an end when it comes to progressing. Last time I heard the economy was great. Or at least that's what the drones keep telling me.
yea, when you live in liberal lala land with unicorns, pink elephants, frogs sitting on lilly pads and hippy farts.
OK now you have me confused??? I do live in a land with frogs on lilly pads and a land with hippy farts. Great now I have to rethink everything.
It's funny to hear a Bagger pretend they care about providing higher education to more Americans. The obvious way -- easier student loans -- is rejected by you. So I bet the ********** solution is more beautician schools.
Well, considering that I'm not an American myself I have no concern of whether you educate your young adults or not. All I know is that in countries were their citizens are actually being educated they don't have a problem with increasing college intuitions. Yep, lets make student loans easier than they already are. Incentivizing colleges to jack up their college tuition. After all, it's all on the Government's dime. Who cares where the money comes from or how the student has to pay for it? Let's keep doing this without actually solving the skyrocketing tuition problem. After all, your Americans. You don't change because your wrong. You just keep doing the wrong thing until it turns out right. Well at least they are opening their own businesses and making money. As oppose to the college graduate who decided to listen to the politician's mantra. Which incentivized her to go to school, rack up debt and graduate with either no job or a low paying job.
Plenty of Europeans and Americans are receiving higher education and doing nothing with their degrees. Have you checked out the unemployment rate in France, Spain, and the U.S. among students just coming out of college? Its horrendous. Then these people complain that they can't find a job and they've incurred massive student loan debt. In my opinion, people should go to trades schools and internships, or work a 9-5, low paid job before they take a step towards college. There are too many people unprepared for life's challenges, and there are many people that major in studies that aren't valuable enough to society as a whole.
Ya.. (*)(*)(*)(*) the american dream. People should settle for thier minimum wage jobs and like it. Besides its unfair to the super rich to take away thier cheap wage labor! God (*)(*)(*)(*) conservatives in this country are so twisted right now. Why are they so anti-progress? The PROBLEM is the economy sucks. Whenever that turns around, you anti-educationers can keep your burger-flipping jobs and the rest of us will push this country forward to keep pace with the Countries that DO value education and its importance to a growing nation.
