Don't act as though you never argue a straw man.

Ok let's take a look at Scripture and view what it says in Gen. 6:5-7.

5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said, "I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them." Gen. 6:5-7 NLT

Let's take a close look at Gen. 6:6: "So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth" This verse even goes on to say "It broke his heart." This verse declares that God had regret for creating man. However, obviously He did not reverse His decision.

Instead, through Noah, He allowed man to continue to exist. The fact that we are alive today is proof that God did not change His mind about creating man. Also, the context of this passage is a description of the sinful state in which man was living, and it is man’s sinfulness that triggered God's sorrow, not man's existence.

Again God is not changing His mind about man's existence, it is man's continuous sinful state that God sent us a Messiah to pay for the sins of mankind. This is Him showing us how much He loves us.

We read in Scripture, "God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die."---John 3:16 CEV

God being omniscient knew He would have to do everything He did, it's all part of His divine plan and so again God does not change His mind.

Not as much as the atheists do. They have a virtual straw man army.

If only that were true. It's actually what Creatards do because the know they can support the illogical belief in their mythical sky fairy so, they feel the need to make up an argument to argue. Sad, really.

Child rape, adult rape, murder, theft etc. are all crimes and the church does not have the policy of sending people to prison or to persecute them the church is about forgiving sins and giving them second and third chances. That is why the church is respected and recognize as a place of sanctuary.

So you're claiming christians are above the law.........

Giving child rapers second and third chances to RAPE CHILDREN is as vile and heinous as the crime itself.
Not everyone respects child rapers and their protectors but the church IS a sanctuary FOR child rapers obviously.....

Hahaha! And yet atheists cry foul anytime an atrocity is connected to them! What hypocrisy. Where are the atheists that should be calling you out on this garbage? Causation! Causation! I have to chuckle at such hypocrisy.

what do you say to those of us (atheists) who don't cry foul when atrocities are tangentially or directly attributed to atheism?

some of us elect to leave the past where it is, and look at the here and now, for example. care to discuss that?

happy to discuss it. perhaps you can start by explaining why you cling to the word atheist (because wiki said it), life preserver style, despite the FACT that north korean leaders are completely deified, and worshipped commensurately. if you're able to produce information on the atheism of the populace, please do so.

Actually the truth is the barbarian activity that was going on were perpetrated by the ones who were conquered.

According to Scripture, God put a stop to their defiant, sinful, barbaric activity by having the Israelites destroy them and rightfully so!

It isn't the "populace" that is running the show over there. It is an atheist regime.

A regime is the product of the populace. Its whatever the populace will allow. If they want a godhead on the throne, thats what they'll get. Even when they dont want it, they're so conditioned to worship theyll get it anyway. Keep them poor and credulous and its even more likely.

You say the strangest things. You should read "scripture" sometime and then perhaps you will not sound so out of touch.

Your claim is that God put a stop to barbaric activities by having the Israelites engage in barbaric activities.

Second, there were many towns the Israelites sacked where the crime of that town was being in the wrong place at the wrong time and it was the Israelites who were the barbarians.

Worshiping other Gods and not being an Israelite are not exactly barbaric activities. Further, the Israelites spent most of their time worshiping Gods other than YHWH. They were happily sacrificing children to the Gods just like some of the peoples around them.

    Your words not mine.

No one respect child rapers except defence lawyers. Spending years in monastic seclusion is worse than secular imprisonment.

Great Apes are identify as the gorillas, orangutans and chimpanzees these are actual great apes. Humans are not part of these actual great apes. Then there is the theoretical great ape that theorist believe that both the actual great apes and humans evolved from. Theorist do not know or have any factual and conclusive evidence or description as to who or what this theoretical great ape was for all we know it might be a great-human.
That is why both the actual great ape and human are group under the theoretical great ape this does not mean humans are apes or evolved from apes. The use of the term great ape has racial colonial background at the same time also early scientist who formulated the term were lacking in any scientific term we now know that the ancestor or humans and great ape is called Hominidae. This is comparable to the newly discovered particle that was first called "God-particle" after massive objections the term was revised to Higgs-boson particle or subatomic particle.

And we see just how many individuals either they misunderstood or are intentional misquoting or misrepresenting science and Christianity by insisting that the great ape theory are actually referring to the real actual great apes by claiming that humans are apes or evolved from apes.

Why are you stuck on the apes. Evolution from apes does not have to conflict with rational Christian beliefs.
