Buddhists accept the existence of beings in higher realms (see Buddhist cosmology), known as devas, but they, like humans, are said to be suffering in samsara,[18] and are not necessarily wiser than us. In fact, the Buddha is often portrayed as a teacher of the gods,[19] and superior to them.[20] Despite this there are believed to be enlightened devas.[21]

Speaking from ignorance. Buddahism is NOT atheism.
While not the same type of god you worship. They still believed in gods.

THIS is "bringing sanity" to a brutal and barbaric world?!?!?

"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel ..."---GOD's orders in 1 Samuel 15:3

That's like a Nazi saying "Oh we had to have the Holocaust...to stop Stalin from using the Jews against us. It was the only way to bring civilization and sanity to Europe"

And why do you believe that verse says anything about a previous battle in Heaven, especially one that took place before the Garden existed? The Book of Revelation seems to take this as an event occurring right before the eyes of John in the present. Because if you'll read Revelation 12 and 13, then the story continues on how the dragon gives power to the anti-Christ.

My respond maybe consider blabbing to you because I am responding to your blabbing rant. The Bible is an actual history that was instrumental in shaping today's modern science, medicine and laws I have presented it clearly with you not able to refute any except rant away instead of presenting factual and rational discussions and evidences.

There are no different view all Christians regardless if they are Catholics, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Baptist, Methodist, Calvinist, Lutherans, Amish, Orthodox we all share the same belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That humans were created in the image of God, that all humans are children of God.

Yes all Christians agree in one thing Jesus Christ is the Son of God, we are all created in the image of God, Adam and Eve were the first modern humans etc. There is no rest of the book only one Holy Bible.

Yes we all can achieve eternal paradise through Jesus Christ "I AM the Way, the Truth and the Light".

All of them as long and the most important part do not worship Lucifer.

So you are a Christian then?
Faith and faith alone works if you practice your faith and how do you practice your faith through good deeds.

Yes God brought sanity to this world a world that you probably would prefer to be of chaos and disorder.
Genesis 6: 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

It is like D Day and stopping the Nazi reign of terror and wickedness with their holocaust, and the dropping of the Atomic bomb at Nagasaki and Hiroshima to stop the crazy Imperial Japan from continuing putting Japanese lives in harms way forcing thousands of Japanese to die for their wicked and evil cause.

    General Dwight Eisenhower:
Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory!
I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in battle.
We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

Here is a question to you and to all that want to know the exact age of this earth. I have posted that the Bible did not mention the exact date it did however mention the creation or evolution of modern man. Now, do you guys know the exact age of earth month, year? We know it is estimated to be billion of years it use to be million of years and the last century scientist estimated it is older than million could the earth be older than billion of years? How about modern man do you guys know the exact time were modern man came about?

    Sure, WanRen....

God saw a brutal, savage world....so in order to bring "sanity" to it....

He ordered the deliberate slaughter of CHILDREN.

That's "just like" what our grandfathers and great-grandfathers did at D-day. Absolutely.

    A history book without dates.

    .
No different views and then you give off 9 different christian religions. Why so many if they all believe the same? Why aren't you Amish?

And you confirmed what I stated. You all have 1 similar belief.
But there must be a rest of the book, it is thousands of pages long.

Born and baptized. Which I've stated to you many times.
Faith and faith alone, no works. It is why Jeffery Dahmer now can reside in eternal paradise. Good deeds is not a requirement. As proven by the thief on the cross.

    You can count on that.

Why do you keep using the children as human shield to protect the wicked? You keep using the children as an excuse not to destroy the wicked and evil ones.
God save those children from those wicked and evil people now the souls of those children are with God in His eternal paradise while those evil people are with Satan.

    "Cast your burdens upon me,
    Those who are heavily laden
Come to me of you who are tired
    Of carrying heavy loads
For the yoke I will give you is easy
    And My burden is light
Come to Me and I will give you rest."

Yes, that is why you are enjoying the freedom that you have even though you are using it negatively it is still freedom thanks to your great grandfathers sacrifices in fighting the Nazis. Wait a minute was your great grandfather with the Allied forces or with the Nazis?

I know that my great grandfather and grand father fought against Imperial Japan and side by side with US forces against North Korean communist during the Korean war.

Monkey trial? You tell me as I said humans are not monkeys. The monkey trial will be your field share and I will see if I can respond to it.

A history book written at the time before men invented calendars or mathematics.

Yes 9 different Christian sects not religion, careful are you intentionally distorting facts? Different sects not religion all those 9 Christian sects have the same religion called CHRISTIANITY. I am not Amish because I am Catholic. And are you a Christian? Why can't you answer this simple question?

Yes, we all believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God we all believe that we are created in the image of God. Is this your belief too?

Only One Book the Holy Bible.

Then you are a Christian then this mean just like us you believe Jesus Christ is Son of God and that humans were created in the image of God or are you one of those fake Christians in sheep clothing?

The thief on the cross was at his last moments same with Jeffrey Dahmer and both accepted their crimes and ask for forgiveness not the other thief on the cross he not only refused to accept responsibility but he even mocked Jesus Christ. Jesus forgave the other thief who ask for forgiveness that is an act itself as for Jeffrey Dahmer it would seem he was sincerely regretful of the wicked things he did and accepted his fate “I feel very, very bad about the crimes I’ve committed. In fact, I think I should have been put to death by the state for what I did.” His faith and works of true repentance would allow him to be with God in paradise "today you will be with me in paradise" for Jeffrey sufferings will be over as he struggle with the wickedness that he was and ask for forgiveness and accepted his acts. Faith and works goes hand in hand.

I think you are referring to The State of Tennessee v. John Thomas Scopes and commonly referred to as the Scopes Monkey Trial, was a famous American legal case in 1925 in which a high school teacher, John Scopes, was accused of violating Tennessee's Butler Act, which made it unlawful to teach human evolution in any state-funded school.[1] The trial was deliberately staged in order to attract publicity to the small town of Dayton, Tennessee, where it was held. Scopes was unsure whether he had ever actually taught evolution, but he purposely incriminated himself so that the case could have a defendant.
Scopes was found guilty and fined $100, but the verdict was overturned on a technicality. The trial served its purpose of drawing intense national publicity, as national reporters flocked to Dayton to cover the big-name lawyers who had agreed to represent each side. William Jennings Bryan, three-time presidential candidate, argued for the prosecution, while Clarence Darrow, the famed defense attorney, spoke for Scopes. The trial publicized the Fundamentalist–Modernist Controversy, which set Modernists, who said evolution was not inconsistent with religion,[2] against Fundamentalists, who said the word of God as revealed in the Bible took priority over all human knowledge. The case was thus seen as both a theological contest and a trial on whether modern science regarding the creation-evolution controversy should be taught in schools.

William Jennings Bryan's summation of the Scopes trial (distributed to reporters but not read in court):
"Science is a magnificent force, but it is not a teacher of morals. It can perfect machinery, but it adds no moral restraints to protect society from the misuse of the machine. It can also build gigantic intellectual ships, but it constructs no moral rudders for the control of storm-tossed human vessel. It not only fails to supply the spiritual element needed but some of its unproven hypotheses rob the ship of its compass and thus endanger its cargo. In war, science has proven itself an evil genius; it has made war more terrible than it ever was before. Man used to be content to slaughter his fellowmen on a single plane, the earth's surface. Science has taught him to go down into the water and shoot up from below and to go up into the clouds and shoot down from above, thus making the battlefield three times as bloody as it was before; but science does not teach brotherly love. Science has made war so hellish that civilization was about to commit suicide; and now we are told that newly discovered instruments of destruction will make the cruelties of the late war seem trivial in comparison with the cruelties of wars that may come in the future. If civilization is to be saved from the wreckage threatened by intelligence not consecrated by love, it must be saved by the moral code of the meek and lowly Nazarene. His teachings, and His teachings alone, can solve the problems that vex the heart and perplex the world.

    Abraham Lincoln said it eloquently
In regard to this Great Book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to be found portrayed in it.

Decades after that trial we are now seeing how wrong the theory of evolution is regards to human origin.

Yes that is literally true, anything that is logically coherent, it is not impossible for God to do.

For example if you ask me can God make 1 + 1=3, this would be illogical incoherent, thus it would be an invalid question which in no way diminishes God's omnipotence.

And so God being omnipotent, He can do anything. However, that doesn't mean God has lost His omnipotence when the Bible says that He cannot do certain things. For example Scripture tells us,"God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged."---Hebrews 6:18 NIV

That does not mean He lacks the power to lie, but that God chooses not to lie in accord with His own moral perfection. In the same way, despite His being all-powerful and hating evil, He allows evil to happen, according to His good purpose.

He uses certain evil events to allow His purposes to unfold, such as when the greatest evil of all occurred, when sinful men unjustly killed the perfect, holy, innocent Lamb of God for the redemption of mankind. Of course here the perfect, holy, innocent Lamb of God I'm referring to is our Lord Savior Jesus Christ.

That's some seriously crappy god you've picked, MR. Even wilful and obstinate refusal to understand what moral perfection really is couldn't possibly lead a sane person to the conclusion you've reached.

Don't you want to aim a little higher than this flakey shyster? How about Ghandi?

The Japanese were certainly brutal during World War II. Have you seen what the Japanese did during World War II?...pretty gruesome stuff. Look the point here is that there is evil all over the world. Everybody has some dirty baggage in their history. Nobody can claim their baggage doesn't stink as much as others.

I'll admit the Japanese people today are no way the way they were during World War II or anytime previous to the way they were even before the war. They have learned their lessons that there can be no enlightenment being a country that is hostile waging war against other countries.

Those two nuclear bombs dropped on them near the end of the war certainly played a role in the lessons they learned. Buddha would not have been very happy with them during the onset of the war they perpetrated against the United States. Let's hope they continue being a peaceful country in this day and age.

But I disagree with you about you claiming that U.S. and other Christian type nations are not so polite as the Japanese. That is really a nonsensical statement especially by mentioning "Christian type nations". It is just your hatred of the religion that makes you say something so nonsensical.

I don't see any super power countries being run by Christians, here in the United States that is certainly the case. Haven't you heard that in this country the United States we have this thing called "separation of church and state?"...prolly not!...lol

in the meantime, Americans (and Australians) are like rude monkeys by comparison to the Japanese.

Not only that his God requires people to like him and worship him or his God will make him burn in a lake of fire for all eternity!!!! Sounds like someone has a personality flaw and a serious one at that. Hmm now why would a True god require worship and acceptance? Oh yeah, the answer is.....it wouldn't. A true god would however most likely punish ass rapers of children regardless of whether they said "awww I sorry for that" at the pearly gates. Also, there are cats and dogs in my version of heaven. In Mitts version....nuthin just us and him..... Mitts idea of eternal happiness for us. You see Mitt sees animals as nothing but objects for us to use as we see fit. Yes animals are not allowed in heaven but Noah sure got his ass in gear to build a boat to save them. He coulda just let them die and ate veggies instead. Then again Noah was also hundreds of years old.....lol the earth is only a few thousand years old according to these guys but the same people think a person lived for hundreds of years and even better they are incapable of seeing the problem. LOL.

one paragraph is all it takes to highlight the insanity. one paragraph.

make the same claims about any supernatural other and the nonsense reveals itself even to the theist. they're forced into employing dodgy damage control when exposed to such confrontational stuff. for egs, "only the bible is the inspired word of god. I know this because the bible says it is". this is so patently idiotic that they're forced to yet another level of self-deception to accept that as a satisfactory answer. and so on and so on, to infinity. it's entirely possible that at some point in the not-too-distant future, cognitive dissonance will see people committed for treatment. it's a new phenomenon, after all (given no one ever confronted theists with the nonsense of their position in the past), and we don't yet know how or how much it will affect people. it could spill over into behaviours, which is alarming.

Yet you provided me a link that showed moses' birth and death date. He didn't have any dates cuz he didn't know he was born?

Yep, 9 differing views on how one should follow christ.

    You misinterpreted, fine. Dropped.

Baptized and confirmed. Nothing like you though. I know the bible is not 100% inerrant word of God or actual history. Even though that is what I was taught.

Exactly, his faith. Dahmer or the thief had no works. Unless you mean killing and stealing.
That is why protestants have it correct and catholics have it wrong. One of those differences mentioned above you ignored.

I see what you did here. You changed the verse.
Luke 1:37 "For nothing is impossible with God."
And you change it to: 'Yes that is literally true, anything that is logically coherent, it is not impossible for God to do.'
    Literally.

So you feel more comfortable using innocent children to justify wickedness and evil that God should allow wickedness and evil to flourish while ignoring the plight of the good people?
There is no corruption in my soul that is why I do not condone using children as human shield by wicked and evil people.
So answer please why do you keep using children as human shield or justification in defending wickedness and evil?

on the contrary, your corruption runs so deep that you believe expressing horror at god's mass murder of innocents is problematic. further, you actually seem okay with the idea that an entire people could be 'evil', and deserve to be wiped out.

I'm sorry for you. I'm sure you're a good person, but you've been led to a very dark place.
