When god orders us in the bible to stone whore's to death do you think he wants us to use wackestone?

 

In the bible when god commands us to kill the man or woman who has sex with livestock if the live stock is pregnant should we wait until they give birth or just go ahead and kill the livestock along with their young?

 

I understand that it's not OK to prostitute your daughter but how about someone else's daughter? How about a distant cousin?

 

Do you think this verse should be interpreted to mean that god want's us to have indoor plumbing and not urinate on public facilities?

 

meantime, doesn't it mean "kill all males". females having some difficulty pissing against a wall.

 

Well that's a bit sexiest don't you think? I just thought it was an endorsement to use indoor plumbing. This interpretation thing sure is tricky!!!!

 

So does this mean that god is OK with abortion? Or does he just hate kids?

 

So if your father isn't a priest is it OK to be a whore?

If not should whores who's fathers aren't priests be burnt with fire also, ... or should we just stone them to death?

 

good lord, some of these bible utterings are embarrassing!

Do you think the hills were singing that song from the "Sound of Music" ... "the hills are alive with the sound of music"? Do you suppose that the trees clapped in time with the hills singing?

 

Given that the bible proves unicorns are real ... why do you think Noah didn't save them on the ark too?

Or did Noah save the unicorns but they some how just died out since then?

Or did god take them to heaven with Jesus?

 

So when god created marijuana and saw that it was good, what exactly was it good for ... brownies or glaucoma ... or both?

 

What if you just take two sisters, .. is that cause for burning still?

How about if you take a wife and her cousin or aunt, ... is that still cause for burning?

 

I think the claim by the Literalsits is that the "unicorn" was a term for a rhinoceros.

Of course there is a problem with that-

It means they do NOT take the Bible "literally", but feel you can change the meaning of words to whatever you want. "unicorn" = rhino. And Literalism falls apart, becaue you can change "flood the world" to "flood the Tigris and Euphrates" in the Noah story....

or even say that Jesus didn't "really" get "resurrected"...but was only there "in spirit".

If they want to be Literalists....they have to say that "unicorn means unicorn"....a white horse with a horn sticking out of its head. Nothing else.

Here is the scripture from Genesis:

We are made in the likeness of the Gods.

Why do you have so much trouble accepting this passage ? Paul writing Corinthians over 1000 years later is talking about resurrection not creation so why are you talking about the Moon when the topic is Earth (how the Gods created man) ?


Notice also that the plural means "Gods" Anyone who says " oh oh ... "US" and "Our" means the trinity" is a either being disingenuous, is ignorant or a fool.

Again the plural is used. "US"

Man was given the knowledge of the Gods ... would he gain immortality he would be even more like the Gods.

 

The deluded will say anything to uphold their dogma. I once was having a conversation with a friend of mine who was involved in some Pentecostal group.

The Church position on Alcohol was that one should not drink it at all. I asked him "what about when Jesus turned the water into wine" He claimed "That was grape juice".

The Eucharist "ritual" has involved drinking wine "this is my body, this is my blood" since the time of Christ but I guess these Pentecostals know better.

 

Yet another example.....if "wine" meant grape juice in the Bible? Then how did Noah get "drunk" on "grape juice" in Genesis 9:21??? They cherry pick what they want to be literally true...and what is not.

I can drink a gallon of Welch's and I'll guarantee you I won't pass out naked in a tent.

 

The Sumerians were making beer 5000 years ago. There are many instances of alcohol in the bible and it is 100% that the passage means wine.

Here is a good one from Deuteronomy 14:

One of the better of Gods laws ! Use the tithe money to have a big party (don't neglect to invite the Levites). Rejoice, eat well, get pissed as a celebration of God making the crops grow well that year. Hopefully they had naked virgins dancing around the fire as in some of the fertility rituals celebrated in the name of Isthar (This was to make the crops grow rather than the fall celebration)

Christianity also celebrates the age old spring ceremony of death and rebirth, the ceremony to Ishtar or "Easter"

Another aside form the Eucharist comment in previous post " this is my body, this is my blood" Christianity was not the first to have rituals involving rituals which were symbolic of eating a God.

One very strange thing in the Exodus is when Israelites make the Golden calf for the worship of El/Asherah. When Moses comes back grinds the idol down into powder and has the people ingest it.

 

Do you think this verse should be interpreted to mean that toilet paper wasn't available in King Soloman's day?

 

Do you think Jesus ever healed those who were afflicted with diarrhea?

Or does Jesus give people diarrhea?

 

Do you think this is the verse the female evangelist in Bill Maher's movie "Religulous" was referring to when she said that unbelievers needed a " Holy Ghost enema"?

 

Do you think god wanted the women who weren't with child to be saved so they could be raped later? Why kill only the women who were with child?

 

Do you ever intend to answer questions or are you going to continue to proselytize which is against the rules....

 

I have asked several very important questions here and have yet to get any answers to them!

If he is not going to answer "Tough" questions why in the world would he invite us to ask them?
