    Did he? So, what did Epps do on the 6th? They have videotape of him on both days.

    The issue here is rather than trying to understand the particulars of his case many are attempting to run from the particulars in an effort to create a false equivalency to create a false narrative to comfort themselves at any cost. It’s irresponsible.

    Why does it matter? If someone conspires in a murder plot one day, and the next day the murder is carried out but that person was sitting at home all day, do they get off?

    Exactly.

    A false equivalency? What are the things that people are trying to equate?

    Thousands of duped Trump worshipers were just hapless bystanders on January 6, and were not charged.

    Epps was not among the Trump goons who rampaged through the Capitol and assaulted outnumbered police.

    I'm pleased to see Mr Epps seeking to hold responsible ideological media entertainers who spew their baseless conspiracy lies and endanger people.

    Threats to him and his wife by Trumpy lowlifes who falsely accused him of complicity in an imaginary FBI-orchestrated insurrection demands an evidence-based adjudication.

    It is my understanding that he is about to be charged. There were over 1000 prosecutions, and, as i understand it, they are still prosecuting folks, so, he's down the list of priorities, apparently.

    Well no it's the other way around they said Ray Epps participated in a protest the same protest that they've been calling an insurrection for 3 years.

    Because you need to understand there were two separate components to that incident.
    Part of it was perfectly legal and acceptable, and part of it was illegal.

    It's possible the issue is that you (and others) are confusing two different things together in your mind.

    Encouraging a protest to the capitol would have been normal and should be seen as acceptable. The dishonest media wants to trick stupid people.

    As we know, the goofy conspiracy confection that media entertainers had silly people parroting - that Epps (who advised Trump goons not to attack the police) whispered in their ears and made them do so has collapsed.

    In late January of last year, in an interview with the F.B.I., Mr. Samsel said much the same thing, telling investigators that a man he did not know came up to him at the barricades and suggested he relax...

    Far-right conspirators have alleged that Epps was working with the federal government and sought to provoke violence during the 2021 attack on the Capitol.

    Epps, who has said conspiracy theories had a significant impact on his life, told the House Jan. 6 committee that "the crazies started coming out of the woodwork" after conservative members of Congress and commentators referred to him by name. On the eve of the insurrection, Epps had called for protesters to enter the Capitol, but the next day he was seen on video trying to calm protesters and maintain a line between police and the pro-Trump mob.
