There are many gray areas when it comes to the psychological impact of people who become 'victims'. Not all victims choose to be.
I'm surprised that there is no active woke-ist push to suppress the word "gender" at this point. After all, it is merely a social construct and only serves to marginalize the non-binary.
I'll agree. However, there needs to be some distinguishable 'label' for what someone is, or decides to transition to. Otherwise, how would they be able to transition?
So which woman reduced you to a servant and disrespected your intelligence? ISTM you need help. Go talk to a qualified psychologist. You have a serious problem.
No one, male or female, has, but thanks for asking. I've had people, both male and female, underestimate me, but there is some fun to be had in that. What 'serious problem' would that be? Asking difficult questions you aren't willing to discuss or answer? Masculinity is not toxic. INDIVIDUALS can be. I think I made that clear in one of my first posts.
Since only individuals can be masculine, toxic or otherwise, go find someone else to pick a fight with and stop trying to make something serious into a joke.
You Sir have misplaced anger toward the opposite sex then: prove me wrong. And your bio mom: was where and doing what? Ugh, man, rough. You should track both those bitches and your Dad down. Break the arm of the one that broke yours, wire hanger whip the ass of the other bitch, and just take your Dad out into a field somewhere and cap his ass.
It isn't serious it's bigotry against a masculinity. To define it as toxic is to shame boys for their gender identity. You can say they can, but be toxic but you've already connected it to masculinity. So really what you're telling him is don't be masculine it's kind of weird.
@Le Chef f'g relax ffs when it comes down to law, there are some things that are stacked against us with respect to kids, but with respect to harassment and even rape, it seems there may still be a legal advantage to the perps. again - Christmas post: what's up? You seem pretty cool, a bit to the right of me, but alright. You're in the market for a babe, a partner? *** Toxic Masculinity can be twisted too in this era, eh? There are likely some that would call out CSN for being toxically masculine. Maybe not for this song, But for this one, Interesting comment on this YT clip: Powerful reinterpretation, eh?
Something I've had to deal with, and those instances were many, the two I listed were just the worst. But soon after that, my Mom got custody of me when I was 6 and I had quite a few females in my life that I grew up respecting. I learned how to shift a stick shift in 3rd grade by a favorite teacher who happened to be a woman. I learned about stoicism and responsibilities from my Grandmother, and strength from a woman whose legs were chopped off. When we would go to the store people would stare and it pissed me off and she showed me how ro ignore those people. I resent a lot of things, but women aren't among them. Dad died a couple years back, we didn't talk for decades but eventually made up. Thanks for empathizing.
I will have to say you know the meaning of making lemonade with the lemon. Sometimes we feel life isn't fair with experiences and in most instances the things that don't kill you will make you stronger.. You have learned to deal with problems that others can only think about. Good for you.
I'm not 'picking a fight', you use a paintbrush and I recommend seeing people as individuals. Exactly where have I made a joke? Why you are unable to acknowledge that individuals act, not groups, or that what you have proclaimed as 'toxic masculinity' is your perception and not everyone's perception, has you thinking that dodging basic questions is 'picking a fight'? So again, either discuss the subject, or don't respond.
I carefully told you what I think it is. So far you haven't come close to defining it. All you have done is defend yourself. Go away.
How does one define a false descriptor? An individual can be toxic. Toxicity is not limited to one gender. What you've described is basically a misogynist and an obnoxious twit. I've said it previously. Defend myself? To borrow a phrase from an old classic The Sting, know your mark.
Unfortunately, life is not all sunshine and rainbows and as Bruce Lee once said - Do not pray for an easy life, but for the strength to endure a difficult one. So that's pretty simple, you have to soldier on, strengthen up and get on with it. But, we live in times where everything has to have a classification, a label. So telling a kid to man up, to get them to be more bravely about life and situations is now classed and labelled "Toxic masculinity". Well, I brought my two boys up to deal life with bravery using my "Toxic masculinity", and they've turned out to be fine gentleman in their early 20's in good secure high paying jobs. Thank goodness I didn't bring them up to be wet flannels.
Do men owe respect to women that openly profess their hatred of men? Do men owe respect to women who joke about killing men? An example is video below: One positive effect of Andrew Tate's popularity is that he offers counterbalance to cultural fashion of male-bashing.
Male bashing, like the one in the video I have posted above has been much more prominent and pervasive in Western Culture at least since 1990s. Popularity of Eminem in early '00s and Andrew Tate in '20s is the response to male bashing.
If he is guilty, he is guilty. I do not know much about his philosophy or evidence against him. I am saying that men who are subject to a stream of male bashing are within their right to amplify his voice.
