An insurrection of some frenzied mob, and the ringleader of said mob wanted to kill Donald Trump(Rhodes), the irony is amazing to me.
If you asked any of these proponents, they wouldn't be able to tell you what the actual insurrection is. Because there wasn't one.

Or if there was one, one would have to acknowledge the threat to Trump by the very same rioters.

It isnt a state right to affect the outcome of a national election in such a corrupt manner.

The fact this has to be explained is...well..not shocking lol.

It was an insurrection, the wisdom, chance for success or because it failed doesn't change the fact.

The States do not have the right to enforce what would be a federal charge, or to imply guilt on such a said charge(that again, hasn't been made not just on Trump but on a SINGLE J6 defendant. Not one of them)

Even the Liberals remaining on SCOTUS would have to acknowledge this is a miscarriage of justice.

I think your absolutely right. Colorado has the right to exercise the 14th Amendment section 3, and it has been validated by it's Supreme Court.

Correct the fact that you had to explain it to yourself is ... "not shocking".

I think the unprecedented attempts to get Trump, from piling on felony indictments to this hoot of a ruling, are the real threat to Democracy. If successful, and I don't see why all of these multiple attempts wouldn't be, things are not going to snap back to normal. The extremely bad precedents have been set. It's bad enough that one party is doing this, but wait till it's both of them.

yeah you cannot refute the fact that your lord and master Biden is an incompetent POS and that Trump was a far better president. True, he was a source loser who acted like a jackass after covid and big tech handed the election to the brain dead pawn, but he still was much better than Biden

It has be "validated" by a corrupt force for fascism. They are corruptly trying to affect the outcome of a national election.

They aren't allowed to do that.

    That isnt a state right.

It was a riot, there wasn't a plot against the government. Now I ackowledge that those will think differently and choose to interpret differently(akin to the 'civil wars causes'. Interesting because it is only in this case NOW, that Liberals favor State autonomy lol)

Some think the South only cared for slavery, and that's that. I, among others read the entirety of the papers, the dependence of the gin economy and other factors and understood it to be way more complicated than that.

Same here, insurrection will be the eye of the beholder.

Right now the USSC is republican leaning. If the democrats want to fight the election in court, the mightiest court of them all leans right. You all will lose this one and I look forward to the GOP doing the same thing to the dems in the future.

Same. I didn't really see that one coming. The SC will probably hear the case, though. They don't normally do appeals for state decisions, but they will probably do so for this one. And I honestly have no idea where they will land.

I was going to say that this will lead more Republicans to learn about how they can use the write-in feature of their ballot to vote for Trump, but it turns out that in Colorado, a write-in vote for President isn't counted unless they are registered with the voting commission. A little nasty gotcha for Republican voters in Colorado to invalidate their vote.

So you think if a state simply claims you're an insurrectionist, they can remove you from the ballot?
You sure you want to go down that road?
Don't we have the 25th amendment for a president who is senile, in a dementia state, suffering from short term memory loss, as a danger to the Republic?
You don't think there is going to be retaliation from other states deciding Biden is mentally unfit therefore he can't be on the ballot?

Or did you think only Democrats can do this?

    Of course not.

This guy dresses like this every day.

And you never know when you'll need flex to subdue someone.

And another nice MAGA had dropped bombs right in front of the Capitol.... the day before the riot

    Probably a coincidence.

Pipe bombs found near Capitol on January 6 were placed the night before, FBI says

    Point of order.
GB athletes did not compete under the IOC flag in the 1980 games.
When Coe won gold in the 1500m it was the Union Flag flying at the medal ceremony.
Whilst Thatcher herself supported the boycott she left it up to the British Olympic Association to decide whether to go to Moscow.

If Democrats (and by Democrats you mean the Colorado Supreme Court) don’t win this then how will Republicans “do the same thing to dems in the future?”

Do you comprehend what precedent is?

You really need to catch up on section 4 of the 25th amendment if you think states are involved in any way.

    Hint: they aren’t
