Well, certainly a concern, but not sure how you can prevent psychos from psycho-ing... They're already attempting to impeach a president on nothing.

This ruling is based on law and a tiny bit of previous usage... Nothing MAGA will come up with will likely have that legitimacy, so it's hard to predict...

I don't think it's a "strategy". Colorado is exercising "States Rights".

I've always loved and have been proud to be a Coloradan, more so tonight.

Colorado is doing 1/50th of what the Senate should have done when he was impeached for his part in the insurrection.

How do you figure that? Nothing preventing a felon from running for, or being, President....

I'm sorry, I think they jumped the gun on this one. Given the country sitting on a powder keg I feel it should have been more prudent to wait until Trump is actually found guilty of insurrection/whatever through the proper channels.

Biden is the most inept president in my lifetime. I didn't think anyone could beat out Jimmy Carter for that title but I was wrong. Biden sucks domestically,, Biden sucks internationally.

Jumped the gun? This is almost three years late; Colorado is doing 1/50th of what the Senate should have done when he was impeached for his part in the insurrection.

Trump is the most dangerous threat to Democracy in the US since your country's formation. So I don't see how it couldn't be a strategy, I'm sorry. Btw, I don't see anything wrong with strategizing to get rid of Trump. I just think it should be done by the book.

That's unfair to President Carter, he was a much better President than he's been given credit for; much better than the criminal administration that followed him. The right is down on President Biden because the think it's the best way to obfuscate the horrendous job tRaitor tRump did, AND his insurrection.

I understand exactly what true fascism is and exactly how easily people fall for it. The left is becoming the perfect example of it. THey have convinced themselves so much that they oppose fascism that they are willing to use fascism in order to fight what they percieve as fascism. They call their own fascism a moment of joy and attack anyone as a fascist who disagrees.

There is no rational persepctive that Trump incited an insurrection. Dems simply dont like Trump and want to jail him and remove him from the ballot over their own hatred.

This is absolutely a "dem thing".

Technically, and actually, he is not lol.

Again my concern is retaliation. If Trump is found guilty of insurrection there's no legal basis for retaliation, obviously. But if there appears to be anything that looks like fixing the books in the courts there is scope for retaliation in red states. This is my concern.

Nah he sucked and if you ever meet someone from the 1980 Olympic team-ask them what carter threatened to do to those who wanted to compete under the IOC flag-as Sir Seb Coe and the other British athletes did. Trump had a successful administration despite the best efforts of the Covid plague to derail his administration. we had far more peace, less inflation. more employment and unlike Biden, Trump didnt' try to balkanize America

Come on man. I'm not talking about the constitution. I'm talking about the supreme Court of Colorado deciding that there was insurrection prematurely. I feel like you've got blinkers on if you don't know what I'm talking about. At least tell me you do understand the point that I'm making??

That ship sailed, no tRumpublican believes or, at least will admit, that the 91 indictments are anything but "fixing the books in the courts" anyway.

A court has a finding that the DOJ itself didn't even charge, this is going to go over well and yes, it should and must reach the SCOTUS of these United States.

It's inherently and profoundly corrupt against any candidate.

I think the only thing SCOTUS will have to decide, what constitutes "insurrection". The officer thing is moot, of course he's running for the office of the Presidency, if elected, he's an officer.

Which, according to the Constitution, is their right. Oh, I understand your point and I think it's, way past, time to take of the gloves and go at tRaitor tRump from any and every angle available ... that' s my point.

Well it looks like we agree on something. I don't believe that every Republican is the devil incarnate, though. Dems to take the high road more rigorously than ever.

The Special Prosecutor didn't charge insurrection only because he had so many other option to prosecute. But to your point it will end up in front of the Supreme's, will they uphold States Rights or not.

As soon as you show me how the constitution allows any state to take a candidate off a ballot who has no conviction of insurrection.

I think we agree on most everything, except that Democrats have been fighting with one hand behind their back. This ruling is the first step in taking the gloves off.
