All of humanity mattered to Him. All are worth saving to Him. He did it. It’s up to each individual to make a choice to accept it or not to.

 

That happened while I was sleeping then. That was not communicated to me by those in charge, they told me it was considered advertising and didn’t meet thread creation standards. No, he’s not. It is Satan who rebelled against Him and tried to overthrow Him who is evil. There was a war in Heaven and Lucifer and angels taking his side lost and were expelled from Heaven. The rest of Gods creation in the universe had to chose sides. This planet is with people created in His image was the one that chose the wrong side and the great conflict between good and evil is taking place here as the universe watches. Jesus dying on the cross and His resurrection won the war but the battle for individuals continue on. The evil one knows he had lost and is doomed and is simply trying to take as many of us with him as he can. He is the evil one.

 

I can imagine that an openly pro Christian hard news current events article proclaiming the true reason for the season caused some of the most militant and dogmatic among the atheists among us here to throw a big enough fit over it to make it go away. Squeaky wheel so to speak.

Sorry but if gods omnipotent he's allowing satan do what he does. Not to mention putting people in hell that don't belong there.

Well you brought politics right into it in your OP. I would be a lot more comfortable with Christianity if they dropped the "only through Christ" bit and the obsession with sin. It would ill behove an enlightened man (such as Jesus is purported to be) to speak like that.

 

In the New Testament, hell is just temporary and everyone makes bail of Judgment Day. Just because you have been in (a metaphor for being buried in the ground), it doesn't mean that you won't get into the gaudy golden cube called New Jerusalem. You could be tossed into the lake of fire if your name isn't written in the book of life. But you will never go back to hell because it is tossed into the lake of fire.

People are always getting their hells mixed up. More people believe in the Islamic version of hell than in the biblical version. In the Islamic version when you die, you stay dead until Judgment Day when you are resurrected. If you are a good guy you get your own paradise with a couple of 90-foot-tall translucent women creatures, a harem of regular women, a herd of cute boys, and an eternal erection. Most of the people in hell are women. If you end-up in the Islamic hell you will be tortured for eternity.

Know your hells because they are all different.

No one is in Hell yet. All who are consumed by it will be fully deserving of it as all humanity was before the cross. God could not simply destroy Satan for challenging him as that would have caused doubt as to whether he had a point and fear in all of creation that would then robotically worship out of fear not love. God was wide obviously and let Satan’s rebellion play out before the universe. Satan killing Jesus on the cross settled all doubt for the rest of the universe and ended any

the whole point of Christianity is Christ and His saving the world from sin by doing what He did that began with what today is all about and ended with what Easter is all about.

 

This sounds reasonable enough. I feel like a more nuanced arguement would be to say that Jesus was trying to save mankind from suffering. However I think he was limited as a teacher because his is a unique path. Do as I do rings a bit hollow when you're not Jesus. This is why I feel that we need spiritual guidance from multiple angles - including, and especially, from outside religion itself.
