Why hasn't the left gone all frothing mad about the School Shooting in Perry Iowa?

TX and IA are a couple I know of

in VA has to be less than 3

then some cities also have their own ordinances, gets confusing

Yeah, cause if we made guns illegal next thing you know we'd have people buying RV's and setting up illegal gun factories in the middle of the desert.

Or maybe they'd stuff 5 kilos worth of guns in a fake gas tank to try and sneak them across the border. What do you think the street value of 5 kilos of guns are, 800, maybe a 1,000 dollars.

Wait wait, have a person put the guns in a condom and then swallow it, that would be almost undetectable.

When is the last time someone went into a school and killed someone by injecting them with a fatal amount of heroin?

Comparing drugs to guns is ridiculous.

How many times can you fire a pump action shotgun before you have to reload?
What is the effective range of a pump action shotgun?
How many rounds per minute can you put out with a pump action shotgun?

How did a 17 year old get possession of ANY guns?

Yes of course because we know that prohibition of other objects and substances has worked so very well...

They have a narrative they've been told to believe. You can't really be too hard on folks who don't do their own thinking, or at least not without tempering it with pity.

When is the last time you heard about a mass shooting using a fully automatic weapon?

When was the last time you heard about a mass shooting using a fully automatic weapon before they were highly regulated?

And just so you know they are not banned.

It did. Right there in the police evidence lockup. Not even a trial.

Your link applies to selling knives to anyone under the age of 18 and about carrying them on school grounds. There is no ban, just restrictions.

Alcohol consumption went down during the prohibition to almost half pre-prohibition

There are plenty of peer reviewed studies that show a clear connection between the media and copy-cat mass shooters. Look it up.

    Just science.

When was the last time you heard the term “generalized imitation”? It’s less common than a related term that is seldom discussed even though both play a role in mass shootings.

You guys that post links to media coverage of every possible mass shooting you can find that detail the weapons used, etc. are PART OF THE PROBLEM. And you are either completely unaware of the role you are playing or don’t care.

Why read science when he can read a journalist bloviating about things they don’t understand? Why look to science when he can be part of a problem his tribe needs to maintain control of their constituents?

Oh yes, logic. Using an example from the bible in a lame attempt to project biblical authority onto that tied old trope 'Guns don't kill people, people kill people'. Not only is that not logical it's a classic example of bad biblical scholarship.

Interesting, so innocent people getting shot and killed just going about their daily routine should not illicit an emotion? Really?

Nope, emotion is a human response. Just not a a solid basis for law making. Or vote getting.

Why would the right seize on the censorship of social media(usually, left-leaning in nature)? One of the reasons there's the whole tech vs government issue going on is that big tech isn't AS pro-left, as it was in the past. The ones who most benefit from the scrubbing of this young person's profile(aside from the immediate family members) are those who would want to keep such details hidden.
