Would you drown a baby, if you thought its parents were evil?

What lies? If you have nothing then just admit.

This is bizarre logic. Are you claiming that it is just as morally wrong to kill a bacteria as it is to kill another person?

We are talking species killing other species. What is the difference? Life is life. Why do you not want to accept reality?

Uh, the ability to feel pain, the ability to be consciously aware of one's surroundings. I don't believe that killing wantonly, especially killing organisms that can feel pain, especially when it can be avoided is moral.

So the ability to feel pain is the difference? OK....has God ever setup factories to slaughter species systematically for food? Does God use species to test things like make up for women?

Do insects fell pain and suffering? Then maybe you should go down to your local exterminator and protest. Hahahaha!

    You lose.....

I named two distinct differences, and that is one of the..

At least in the Western world, we attempt to make slaughtering and testing on animals as painless as possible. We have animal rights activists.

    No, they don't.

This reeks of desperation. Question, does God ever have or want to kill living creatures?

Oh I see. You don't want me to actually introduce critical thinking. I must stick to the examples you cherry pick otherwise your flawed logic falls apart.

So now you want to move the goal posts and only talk about the western world.

How do you know the people who died in the flood suffered or felt any pain?

If you look at the world around us it seems killing is OK by a superior species if there is a purpose for it. Killing animals for food, killing insects for comfort, killing wild animals for sport,etc..... Compared to how humans view killing then God is much more compassionate. But if it serves a purpose then that seems to be how it works.

Could be interesting to see you communicate with an extraterrestrian - I would not be convinced afterwards our planet would be more than only some hot asteroids.

I don't even know what you're talking about. What examples did I bring up? I have responded to your examples.

Uh, no, you're not getting the point. In the West, we have enlightened enough morality to not only apply the no-harm principle to humans, but also to other living creatures as well.

...Because drowning causes pain and fear.

How is God more compassionate? Mass genocide, plagues, telling humans to kill and rape each other, telling humans to enslave others. That's more compassionate than us killing animals for food?

Does that answer my question? Or did you just run out of material and went ad hominem?

Is it your contention that it was OUR fault that God had to drown those babies in the Flood...and was incapable of coming up with some less infanticidal method of getting rid of the "wicked people"???

Funny you want to make it about ME. I asked a question, given God is "above" our petty human standards of morality....

could He have physically RAPED Mary....to conceive Jesus...and it be "ethical and moral" for Him to do so, in your opinion???

I'll wager he won't answer, other than in his usual 'snarky 8 year old' way.

automatic exemption from all judgement, no matter how vile the crime, that's his god. you could spend the rest of your life listing the transgressions and he'll keep defending god. it's stockholm syndrome.

You haven't responded very well. Your comments are weak at best.

Really? So these factories where animals are systematically killed on a daily basis is somehow humane? LOL!

So you have drowned before? Are you posting from beyond?

Well, you need to give some examples because your claims have been proven phony before.

What a silly question. God being God He would not need to "physically rape" anyone.

and there it is, just as predicted.

it's a nice sort of irony that the syndrome is named for a city in sweden - the most civilised (and godless) nation on earth.

You don't have any question in context with the christian religion. Your will is it to erase the christian religion and/or all Christians from this planet, although never any Christian did something bad to you, isn't it?

I guess one day in some hundred years I will be able to understand why people in the world are writing such a nonsense. Do you know why your are doing what you are doing - or is your remote control not allowing you to think on your own?

You did not understand what I said to you on a very simple reason: you don't like to understand. Short: Your problem is not your ability to understand - your problem is your will. That's maybe the most important characteristicum. The will not to learn, not to understand, but to think to be perfect the same time. The paradox of your psychology - symptomatic in lots of simliar cases - is maybe a lack of creativity in combination with an empty form of assertiveness. Could be you don't know what's good for you and others. This could explain what I could call the antichristian antitrinity: intentional ignorance, deplorable arrogance and senseless agressions.

Actually it's not a waste of time. Seeing how hoops of illogic and restoring to personal insult result from raising difficult-to-answer questions of Believers shows an important thing...

how few Christian apologist intellectuals are left these days. Few CS Lewises or Malcolm Muggeridges around.

    - - - Updated - - -

Didn't ask "need"....I asked MORALITY. If God is "above our petty human morality"...COULD he have physically RAPED Mary.....and you find justification for it? Especially since the rape would result in the birth of Jesus?

    Yes or No?

Again, notice? His entire post is a refusal to answer simple questions...and merely a filibuster attacking me personally?

    I'll ask again...just for fun-

Is it your contention that it was OUR fault that God had to drown those babies in the Flood...and He was incapable of coming up with some less infanticidal method of getting rid of the "wicked people"???

Tho the marriage didnt last, :( I had the great good fortune to have a father in law scientist and Christian.

We had a lot of good talks, he interested in my perspective, and me soaking up his philosophy and approach to life.

So I'd never lump all "believers" in one pile of illogic and abuse.

I do tho guess I'd have to put all the creationists into the same category for illogic and
intellectual dishonesty. I've yet to see one capable of admitting the least error or doubt, nor
or putting forward any argument against their chosen aspect of science that wasnt just
    some level of falsehood.

How they do that with no tinge of conscience is a mystery to me, but it is no secret that I've no respect for them.

if you're unable to judge, how do you know he's not pure evil?
