    Yep,...
The "flood" lasted 40,000 years and during that time Neanderthals went extinct.

What is your problem with that Fact???

Are you saying you agree wit me here, that ONLY the Hebrew story speaks about a connection between with Reality and the formation of a Table of Nations, which Asimov says was pretty good and accurate for 3000 years ago. (The Bible, by Asimoov).

    Your Math was wrong here.
You did not figure 52 weeks in the calculation

Also, the calculation means 63 billion HOURS, not years.

    No there was not.

    ????

No ancient aliens is not a documentary

    It wasn't

    It wasn't.

    Time and hard work

While this may be true there are a lot of different reason why a flood story might make the list of holy texts.

Your story makes it 601 now.
Now there are 601 stories about "In the beginning"...

What you just did was also done by the Hebrew Bible writers, too.
They used the "vehicle" of the story which everyone knew about, from 4500 years ago, to retell it as they understood the actual Big Bang beginning.

The Table of Nations was created, first by explaining in detail that 22 now extinct human species lived for thousands of years, evermore adapting and evolving into Modern Homo sapiens, which was the ONLY species to avoid a Mass Extinction beginning 40,000 years ago and ending just before Recorded History began.

The original story was told in the Euphrates valley, which at the time experienced frequent devastating floods. So it was likely told as a warning to people who lived in that valley.

Was there a global flood at any time ever? No. Not ever. But this and many other flood stories originate exclusively in areas where people live beside bodies of waters such as rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans. That these stories occur in these areas should not come as a surprise, since that is where the flooding occurs.

The 600 stories before this new one were believed by people in their own times.

What we read in the Bible, fashioned so as to compare with those wrong imaginative 600 stories was Genesis, which verse by verse tells exactly what science says did take place.

Gen 1:1 says a Big Bang beginning did happen.
Gen 1:2 says the formless disk of rocks rotation the Sun was void of global shape, which was true.
Gen 1:3-5 says the Dark Cosmic Age existed before there was any light in the Universe.
Gen 1:6-8 describes the forming of an atmosphere above and waters below.
Gen 1:9-10 describes "all the waters under heaven gathered together into one place," which was a Pangea-like truth.
Gen 1:11-13 explains that the Plant Kingdom came before the Animal Kingdom, which was true.
Gen 1:14-19 tells us that God assigned the Sun and Moon and Stars to keep time on Earth. ("made" in Hebrew means "assigned.")
Gen 1:20-31 explains about the animals and finally, man, made to image "Reality," mentally, in the form of Truth inside his mind.
Chapters 4, 5, and 10 explain the correspondences of the Genealogy with the species of Paleontology:

Genesis 6,7,8,and 9 tells that a great "flood" out-of-Africa took place when all other mankind went extinct, as did happen not 40 "days" ago, but 40,000 years ago.
The Hebrew word used was "yowm."
Yowm can means a day, a half a day, an Age, or even a millenium.

    All so true.

But the Bible also uses the word "flood" to describe people flooding out or into places, so the story was devised to be understood by us, today, to mean flooding out-of-Africa,... a very big FACT which has much to do with the three racial stocks of modern man and the tales of our origins.

What? Nonsense. The authors of the biblical flood story had no idea of the modern "out of Africa" theory. And the idea of race has no scientific basis whatsoever.

Trying to use the Bible as a science book is just plain dumb. Sorry, I can't be kind about this.

You are asserting that your position is that the Bible is scientifically wrong and did not come from some "divine" source which knew all about what really happened.

I am saying you are dead wrong.
I am showing you what Genesis meant and how Science supports it as True.

You are interpreting vague scriptural references to mean what you want them to mean, not what the tribal people who wrote them understood them to mean. You take the scriptures out of context and then expect people to take it as gospel truth. They have nothing to do with modern science, and in fact, since modern science did not come about until about 400 years ago, to suggest that scriptural text written by nomadic tribes thousands of years ago have some scientific basis is simply ludicrous. I also have to ask, unless you are Jewish, why are you paying attention to the old testament in the first place? Did not your Jesus create a new testament? Isn't that what you are supposed to be paying attention to?

Ancient people did not know enough to understand what was written, but that hardly supplies us with the argument that the writers did not get the right info, to start with.

Your bias against the Bible as a divinely inspired writing sets you against any effort to see what the Bible actually tells us.
Nevertheless, I gave you a list of thngs n the first page of Genesis which are clearly correct though the ancients would have had no such understanding of just why.

The Big Bang was a beginning.
Pangea was what existed when all the waters under heaven were gathered together into one place.
There was any light for 400 million years after the Big Bang just as the Bible says.

On and on, the Bible states one verse after the next with an amazing correspondence to what science has recently proven to be true.
This is the reason we have awaited the messiah coming, since he will show us what scripture really means.
He will open the sealed book of the Bible for us all (Rev 5:2-5).

Yes, if you make (*)(*)(*)(*) up you can make genesis sound like anything you want. Perfect demonstration.

Actually you are making (*)(*)(*)(*) up in an attempt to rationalize the utter stupidity of religious belief, and to make your bible not contradict itself.

So the Big Bang doesn't mark "In the beginning?"

You can keep insisting that what I say MUST be wrong, but you can not deny the list of scientific correspondences above.

Not for Gen 1:1, where we read there was a "beginning" of the universe.

We only found this out in the last 50-75 years ourselves.

    Of course not.

Of course I can. Your usual cut and paste bull(*)(*)(*)(*) is not found or supported anywhere on the bible. That is because the bible is not a scientific book. It's a religious one. Science completely disproves the bible.

    - - - Updated - - -

We don't know if the universe had a beginning. We don't know what preceded the Big Bang.

But whether or not it had a beginning in no way supports your statements. The bible is completely contradicted by science.

Making (*)(*)(*)(*) up so make the bible fit with science doesn't actually work.

You don't think that In the beginning, there was a Big Bang and all matter was almost instantly created???

Erm, the ancient people, as you call them, were the ones who wrote the scriptures. And for the most part, these are people who were born, lived, and died no more than 100 miles from where their ancestors were born, lived, and died. Their understanding of the world was necessarily very limited. And for each item you claim the Bible got right, I can site dozens of things it got utterly wrong. But such an exercise is simply so much hand waving. The bible is not a science text book. Trying to use it as one is simply ridiculous.

    Did say that?

What I said was we don't know what preceded it.

Your bias because you don't know how these people knew all these things they wrote, and you assume the writers were just as uninformed as the other people in heir ancient society.
That bias has closed your mind.

It difficult to open a closed mind, because the person will defend a closed position, because... it is closed, or finished.
For other possible readers here, though, I will tell them the source was what was long called the Third Eye.

My reports and much art work has shown the idea of Third Eye hovering over society, but most people have had no idea that this was signs of the Collective Unconscious mind appearing from time to time.

A creator proceeded it, according to Science.

The Copenhagen Interpretation says that an Observer MUST be present for the element Wave Functions to collapse into Reality.
This had to happen at the second of the Big Bang.
Hence, the Observer was the creator.
