Freeman/Moss lawyers are definitely bringing in all the evidence of racist and violent threats they got after Trump/Rudy/ilk publicly accused them of fraud.
So racism is already part of the evidence and I only thought of Rudy and racism after Sibley said RG didn't
promote racism and I remembered the viles of coke and heroin comments which as I said to me have racial overtones.
When you think back on all the racist/derogatory names both women were being called Giuliani portraying them as druggies was the cherry on top.
I just don't see Giuliani as having used that comparison if they were 2 white women.
It's not important in the scheme of things, just popped into my head. lol

'Expert describes racist content 'on a level we don't see'
Plaintiffs' first witness in the case is a social media monitor who testified about the deluge of "racist and graphic material" targeting Freeman and Moss that appeared online after Giuliani began accusing them by name.

Regina Scott, a retired Chicago Police Department official who now works as a security and risk analyst, testified that negative mentions about Freeman and Moss surfaced online at a prodigious rate.

A report Scott prepared identified more than 710,000 mentions of Freeman and Moss between November 2020 and May 2023, and 320,000 mentions between Aug. 18, 2023, and Nov. 11, 2023.

"The type of violent and racist and graphic material, that's on a level we don't see at all in our work," Scott said.

Julie Annie should be sentenced to also write an admission that he was lying when he said Mass and Freeman were passing around USB drives, and it should be publish widely and often. It would hurt a bit either if media that carried or reported his lies about it were also required to publish his required admission of the truth.

When a reporter responded there was no proof of such an allegation, Giuliani said: “Oh you’re damn right there is. Stay tuned.”

Freeman and Moss want the trial judge to tell Giuliani that statements such as those are out of bounds in court from him or his lawyers.

“Needless to say, were Defendant Giuliani to testify in a manner remotely resembling those comments,” the plaintiffs’ attorneys said in a court filing late Monday, “he would be in plain violation of the Court’s prior orders in this case conclusively affirming, and reaffirming, that all elements of liability have been established, including that Defendant Giuliani’s defamatory statements were false.”

'Shaye Moss just ended approximately two hours of haunting testimony detailing how her life has been ruined ever since Rudy Giuliani spread lies about her after the 2020 election.

Her worst fear, she said, is that her teenage son will come home to find her and her mother hanging from a tree in front of their home. She still pulls over in her neighborhood because she feels like someone is following them. She doesn’t go out alone. She has panic attacks. She left the job that she worked hard to get because she had become a “pariah” in the office. When her son started getting harassing messages and failed all of his classes in the 9th grade, she felt responsible and like “the worst mom in the world”.

“I feel like I’m in a dark place and the only thing that surrounds me are the conspiracy and the lies,” she said.

She ended her direct testimony by talking about how she’s trapped in a cycle of eating, sleeping, and crying. “Sadly that’s my life.”

Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer will cross-examine her when court resumes this afternoon at 2pm.

Sam is back in the courtroom in the defamation trial in Washington DC, where Moss is being cross-examined.

It’s unclear where exactly Sibley is going with his questions, Sam reports.

A lot of his questions seem to be trying to get Moss to concede that there was confusion or uncertainty about what happened immediately after the 2020 election. US District Judge Beryl Howell has already found Giuliani liable for defamation, so whether or not Giuliani had grounds to make his outlandish claims is not really at issue in the trial.

Giuliani’s lawyer is pressing Moss to disclose additional details about her medical health as a result of the former mayor’s lies.

MOSS, who has not mentione Trump much, does so when pressed by Sibley about whether her doctors tied her anxiety/depression to Giuliani. “It started with Trump and his allies — meaning Rudy Giuliani and his crew were the start of it all. They lit the torch.”

Giuliani's lawyer is pursuing a line of questioning that Moss is seeking much more money than is necessary to repair her reputation



I personally cannot repair my reputation at the moment because your client is still lying on me and ruining my reputation further. How could I do that? How could you work in law everyone was saying you’re a horrible lawyer? Moss said under questioning.

She added, per Sam: “We need to make a statement. We need to ensure that the election workers that are still there don’t have to go through this. Hopefully by hitting someone in their pockets, for someone whose whole career has been about their pockets, we will send a message.”

Day 3 of the trial is scheduled to begin with a witness deposition video, finishing up the series of deposition videos that was played in court yesterday.

Plaintiffs' attorney are then expected to call an expert witness to the stand to testify about the impact of Giuliani's statements.

The testimony is expected to address the estimated cost to repair the damage done to Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman's reputations.

No offense to these ladies who were clearly defamed and terrorized, but they were not famous before this election, so how do you quantify in dollars how to "repair the damage done"?

I think I would find that interesting testimony, but it might be a bit tough to swallow....

I don't think the damage can ever be repaired and going for the money is the only alternative they have to hold Guiliani responsible.
The imbalance of power that these 2 women were up against is beyond mind blowing.
Curious what OANN settled for with them.
Also curious if Giuliani's NYC and Palm Beach residences are mortgaged to the hilt.
