He agreed to it because he was planning on what he actually did today, which was declare bankruptcy………he will get to keep his home and many other assetts under New York law. Therefore he will keep spewing the lies because he already lost everything they can take, their is nothing else to take, so he will keep using the hair dye and spewing more lies

It depends on the equity in the NYC and Palm Beach residences, about 8 million total.
According to NY State bankruptcy laws it looks like his 2 properties aren't fully protected?

"Here is partial list of the most common assets that are exempt under New York bankruptcy statutes: $150,000 of homestead (the home you reside in) real estate equity or $300,000 for married couples filing jointly, who jointly own the real estate."

I find that interesting... how can you put people/companies in your bankruptcy when you haven't been found liable and no jury has determined an amount you owe??

Not that he won't in the future, but seems premature...

This seems like a twisting of the original meaning of the Constitution to me.
The original Constitution did not envision a right to be able to sue to get monetary damages for defamation, and certainly not the right to a jury trial for such a civil case.

Otherwise, usually in criminal cases a jury trial is the right of the defendant, not the plaintiff.

You've got some incompetent counsel there Rudy.

You obviously forgot to tell Judge McAfee that you have one attorney, Joe Sibley. because all your others quit/suing you $$$ and he represents you in all 5-6 of your legal cases so he gets confused and forgetful at times.

Is it your warped sense of entitlement that caused you to ask for not just an extension but an "Indefinite extension"?
Last time you kept pulling off this **** you were found guilty by default in your civil trial and ordered to pay 148 million.
This is a criminal trial so looking forward to you being held in contempt with hopefully some time in the clinker.

'Judge rejects Giuliani's request for 'indefinite extension' of deadlines in Georgia election case'

    Source: Law & Crime

"The presiding judge in Georgia’s election interference case over the 2020 presidential election has rejected Rudy Giuliani’s request for more time to file pretrial motions.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on Friday denied the former New York City Mayor’s motion for an “indefinite extension” of the court’s motions deadline, reasoning that his attorneys failed to provide any reason as to why they had been unable to get through the discovery materials provided in the case.

“The Defendant moves for an indefinite extension of the January 8th motions deadline citing
his incomplete review of voluminous discovery,” McAfee wrote in the 1-page order. “Defendant does not articulate exactly what discovery must still be reviewed, or why the review has not been completed in the approximately four months that have passed since arraignment.”

The presiding judge also took aim at Giuliani’s counsel, alleging that they made a false claim about the previously filed motion in their request for an extension. “While defendant claims to have filed ‘many’ motions concerning discovery, none appear on the docket, McAfee wrote. “Extensions are only considered upon filing of a particularized motion containing a detailed, fact-based explanation of the need for the extension including the amount of time needed. The motion is DENIED. All deadlines remain in place.”

Just when ya think Giuliani/lawyer can't get any more desperate there they go.
Does Giuliani filing the appeal now with a bankruptcy court still give him just 30 days(?) to make the bond on the $148 million owed to Freeman ans Moss?

'Giuliani wants a court to grant him a new trial or reassess the damages he owes Freeman and Moss. A bankruptcy judge allowed him to appeal the verdict on the condition that he use pre-approved donors to pay any further legal expenses.

Giuliani isn’t only indebted to the former poll workers. He also owes Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, who sued the ex-Trump attorney for violating his privacy over data allegedly taken from his laptop, as well as lawyers who represented him in past cases and haven’t been paid their legal bills.'

Mayor Stooge listed it last August and knocked 400,000 off the price in October.
I'm surprised it wasn't swooped up and wonder why it wasn't?

The article gives no reason swhy Giuliani may have taken it off the market or if he was legally forced to do so due to owing millions, especially to Freeman/Moss and having filed for bankruptcy.

Curious if Rudy's Palm Beach and NYC residences are mortgaged to the hilt?

'Ruby is Coming for Rudy's Crib'
    'Poor Rudy.'

'Rudy's bachelor pad in Florida, his beloved $3.5 million condo in Palm Beach which serves as his launching pad for his forays on the prowl at Mar-a-Lago, may be lost forever to the creditors in his bankruptcy case.

Rudy's creditors, who include Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss, are seeking to force a sale of Rudy's major asset - the condo in Florida. They noted in their motion that Rudy said that he spends most of his time at his residence in Manhattan, so he really doesn't need a vacation home in Florida, especially when he owes them millions.'

America's perverted, disgraced mayor, who was disbarred in his home state chimed in.

'Rudy: Judge McAfee is a "Sissy Boy!"

    'Not a smart move.'

'Rudy went on Newsmax tonight to complain about Judge McAfee, who is presiding over his RICO prosecution, because he refused to disqualify DA Fani Willis or dismiss the indictment against him today.

It has been a difficult day for Rudy. First Judge McAfee dunked on him this morning, then hours later his creditors set a hearing to seize his condo in Florida. So, Rudy was a bit crankier than usual for his Newsmax appearance:

"This is absurd. This judge is a disgrace. He's an absolute disgrace. This woman committed perjury right in front of him ... What kind of a sissy boy is he. The woman made a fool out of him - treated him like garbage ... This judge has so little regard for the law."

'Giuliani Faces New York, Florida Home Sales Amid Bankruptcy (1)'

'A proposed listing agreement for Giuliani’s New York condominium is being fine-tuned, Heath Berger of Berger Fischoff Shumer Wexler & Goodman LLP said Wednesday during a status conference in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Giuliani’s Manhattan condo is valued at around $5.6 million, according to recent financial disclosures.

A committee representing Giuliani’s unsecured creditors, including the poll workers, is working to get his Palm Beach, Fla., house on the market as well. The home is valued at $3.5 million, according to court papers. The committee is in talks with Giuliani about the Florida property, Philip Dublin of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP said in court Wednesday.

Dublin said the Florida home isn’t subject to the state’s homestead exemption that protects a debtor from being forced to sell a home in bankruptcy, but didn’t provide further explanation. He didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

“If we are unable to convince the debtor to list that property, then we will come to the court on that issue,” Dublin said.'

'Rudy Giuliani Says Loyalty to Donald Trump Will Help Him in Heaven'

    Source: Newsweek

    Published Mar 17, 2024 at 4:43 PM EDT | Updated Mar 17, 2024 at 7:13 PM EDT

'Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said on Sunday that his loyalty to former President Donald Trump will help him "in heaven."

Giuliani, who also previously served as a lawyer for Trump, is currently facing a penalty of $148 million after he was found liable in court for defaming two Georgia election workers, the mother-daughter pair Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss. In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, as the former mayor became a significant proponent of Trump's false claims of widespread voter fraud that made him lose to Joe Biden, Giuliani spread unfounded conspiracy theories that the pair had committed election fraud while counting ballots in Fulton County, Georgia.

Freeman and Moss said in the lawsuit that the claims about them, which were amplified considerably by Giuliani, resulted in them receiving a torrent of harassment and threats. Following the verdict against him, the former mayor told reporters that he did not "regret a damn thing" about the comments he made, and decried the "absurdity" of the penalty amount, which resulted in him filing for bankruptcy last year.

In a Sunday WABC radio broadcast, Giuliani said he would be disbarred for what he stated was "confidential stuff" after he was found liable for defaming Freeman and Moss. "The Bar Association is going to crucify me no matter what. I will be disbarred in New York. I will be disbarred in Washington. It will have nothing to do with anything I did wrong," he said. "And I consider that something that will help me in heaven for sticking to my principles and not being a weakling, like all these weaklings who are afraid to represent Trump."

'Rudy Giuliani loses bid to dismiss $148 million defamation judgment in Georgia election workers case/

    Source: ABC News

    April 15, 2024, 4:14 PM

'Rudy Giuliani has lost his bid to dismiss the $148 million defamation judgment against him from late last year. The judgment was won by former Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss.

"Giuliani's renewed motion urging this Court to reverse its prior findings and rulings and to override the jury's considered verdict on the basis of five threadbare arguments falls well short of persuading that 'the evidence and all reasonable inferences that can be drawn therefrom are so one-sided that reasonable men and women could not have reached a verdict in [plaintiffs'] favor,'" U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell said in her ruling Monday.

The mother and daughter were accused by Giuliani of committing election fraud while the two were counting ballots in Georgia's Fulton County on Election Day in 2020.

"I will always have to be careful about where I go and who I will be able to share my name with," Freeman told reporters after the defamation ruling in December. She reiterated her need to remain anonymous due to the fear of threats. "I miss my name," she said.'

'Giuliani bankruptcy creditors fire off subpoenas to try to establish whether Trump owes him money'

    Source: UK Independent

'The Committee of Unsecured Creditors — individuals and entities that Mr Giuliani owes — served more than a dozen subpoenas on Friday in an effort to recover his assets. Mr Giuliani filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after being hit with a massive $148m verdict for defaming two election workers.

The former Trump lawyer listed a “possible claim for unpaid legal fees against Donald J Trump” in a January bankruptcy court filing. The following month, he elaborated in a hearing that he is owed $2m in unpaid wages for a spurious legal battle to overturn election results in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.

However, Mr Giuliani underscored that the money is owed not by Mr Trump himself, but by either Trump’s campaign and/or the Republican National Committee. He also suggested that the arrangement was made verbally, calling it a “word-of-mouth situation.”
