it's after the accuracy adjustments, you know, the ones that science deniers lie about

this video explains clearly how the data adjustments are a basic principle of science

You think America's liberals acting on this will change the world? What about the other 6.9 billion people?

Just like I said. Pick up the torch. It's as simple as that. Humans are no different than birds that flock together for security. Humans are no different than the antelope that flee from the Cheetah. When one does it, the rest follow. Humans are nothing more than animals with an advanced brain. But we are still an animal like the antelope, waiting for that signal from one animal, to tell the rest of us what direction we need to go. God has given us this awesome gift to recognize what is going on around us. We, us, someone, must use that gift just as the lone antelope, alarming the herd to move from danger, so must we. So, stop using this lame Russia/China excuse to do nothing. Our natural instincts like those of the antelope are telling us we have to do something.

Yep, typical defeatism before our very eyes. Your unsubstantiated claims have shattered the science world forever. What a joke.

Average temperature in my town for July is 89.7°.

Average temperature for July this year was 86.8°.

We only had two days over 100°.

    Very cool summer.

"At least 150,000 people die needlessly each year as a direct result of global warming."

other countries have already been successful at reducing their carbon emissions drastically

    we can do it, too

think again, there's not much there

What, precisely, does "invest better" mean?

Throw more money at investments that failed in the past?
Get corrupt and economically illiterate politicians and bureaucrats out of making these investments?
Invest in other renewable energy sources and companies that won't take taxpayer money down the toilet like solar and Solyndra, et al, did?

I'm being serious here. I've got money invested in renewable energy, and repeating the mistakes Washington made in the past is only doubling-down on failure. There's also the problem that Eco-Alarmists are good about screaming about Global Warming/Climate Change/Global Climate Disruption, but they're not very good about investing in and building renewable energy sources such as nuclear, be it old uranium systems or newer and better thorium power systems.

Failure is not an important part of any sound investment strategy.

Contrary to your gratuitous crap about me and our defunct space program, I haven't given up on renewable energy. What I am suggesting is that when an investment turns out to be a failure we may not want to throw more money at it, especially when we're $18 trillion in debt and our economy will probably never be as strong as it was during the post-WWII Golden Age that preceded and paid for our space program in the 1950s and 60s. The problem with politicians investing taxpayer money in renewable energy is that politics often trumps economic, market and consumer realities, and then taxpayers wind up losing their asses on companies like Solyndra.

If the environmental movement has nothing to do with the environment, and is only interested in de-growth and killing Capitalism, then what is their reason for de-growth and killing Capitalism then?

you're just projecting your own state of mind, she's a well-respected climate scientist

"Katharine Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist and associate professor of political science at Texas Tech University, where she is director of the Climate Science Center. She has worked at Texas Tech since 2005. She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and wrote the book 'A Climate for Change: Global Warming Facts for Faith-Based Decisions' together with her husband, Andrew Farley. She also co-authored some reports for the US Global Change Research Program, as well as some National Academy of Sciences reports, including the 3rd National Climate Assessment, released on May 6, 2014. Shortly after the report was released, Hayhoe said, "Climate change is here and now, and not in some distant time or place," adding that "The choices we're making today will have a significant impact on our future." She has also served as an expert reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Fourth Assessment Report.

Professor John Abraham has called her "perhaps the best communicator on climate change." Time magazine listed her among the 100 most influential people in 2014. Also in 2014, the American Geophysical Union awarded her its climate communications award."

Man can track weather patterns back - accurately, what, 100 some odd years? You're complaining about right wingers when the left are falling head over foot trying to find a way to stop a 0.18F rise in ocean surface temps over a 100 year span. Don't you think it's the left that is overreacting? The earth is 4.8 billion years old, do you not think it's seen this type of change before? It'll pan out, I promise.

More useless random thoughts that have zero to do with the conversation. Kind of reminds me of that same Right-wing defeatist attitude I was talking about earlier. Jump ship because you are at a loss for words in dealing with the topic, so let's change the subject. Oldest trick in the book, and just proves you have no real counter argument to the subject.

    89.7
    -86.8
    = 2.9

We are in a GLOBAL COOLING phase!

The Earth got 3 degrees cooler!

Ok, then you go prepare. The rest of us will sit back and watch. Then if we're wrong, you can have the last laugh. But until us non believers melt or drown, I'm not going to let a 0.18F rise over a 100 year span shake me up.

I think every progressive should go to the doctor and get a Xanax prescription.

I say that we eradicate man. That will fix the problem. Since Democrats are so concerned then they'll have no problem volunteering to go first.

    no, scientists are not overreacting

"Temperature increases beyond 1.0°C may elicit rapid, unpredictable, and non-linear responses that could lead to extensive ecosystem damage."
