And once again you have provided no counter arguments. You've proven to be nothing but a waste of time spreading ignorant nonsense.

Once we get to the "fight global warming with ice" tactic, it just means he finally ran out of gas. Not that there was any gas to begin with.

Its not 200+ year old technology they have made plenty of advancements.. Hell even Soros loves coal now. ( now that he helped plummet the stocks and the industry as a whole)

Again what closes that energy gap? Wishful thinking? Just thinking about it and clapping our hands feeling good does not keep the power on.

Wonderful lets have more nuclear meltdowns. I assure you that affects the enviroment more then carbon dioxide....

Cut the budget in half and we are still the worlds largest defense spender.

Because the military budget is the most bloated and wasteful portion of the nations budget.

You seem overly hostile about this. I threw out the biggest waste of money that could easily be cut.

how is cutting unbelievable wasteful spending a partisan issue?

I'm not sure what you are trying to argue here? You asked how this was to be paid for, I answered you.

46,674,364 people are on food stamps... 109,631,000 Americans lived in households that received benefits from one or more federally funded "means-tested programs" — also known as welfare — as of the fourth quarter of 2012... If you make more than $50,000, you earn more than 73.4% of Americans.

Monthly average for food stamps: $133.07. However, a basic average guideline for the food stamp program will show that an average family of 4 can expect an amount up to $500 per month.

    Monthly average for welfare: $29,178.43

So you're telling me that less than 25% of Americans are paying $36.82 per year for one, and $6.96 per year for the other? I just don't believe you, but hey, you're the lib. You're told how to think. I'm sure they'll show you how to do the math too.

Oh, and LOL @ 150,000 people supposedly dying from global warming each year.
I can't tell if you're serious or just a terrible troll.

old ladies, active military families, disabled veterans and such

the military, federal government, states and cities are already preparing for global warming

four-star admiral samuel locklear, head of pacific command identified climate change as the biggest security threat facing the region, with the capacity to even threaten the loss of entire nations

Thanks but I really don't care. They're just saying what they're told to say so they can keep the checks coming in.

In the wake of accusations that skeptical climate scientists are peddling misleading research, a top scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has this to say: the government has spent billions funding climate science promoting an alarmist political agenda.

“Billions of dollars have been poured into studies supporting climate alarm, and trillions of dollars have been involved in overthrowing the energy economy,” Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT wrote in the Wall Street Journal. “So it is unsurprising that great efforts have been made to ramp up hysteria, even as the case for climate alarm is disintegrating.”

“Individuals and organizations highly vested in disaster scenarios have relentlessly attacked scientists and others who do not share their beliefs. The attacks have taken a threatening turn,” wrote Lindzen, who is a distinguished senior fellow at the libertarian Cato Institute.

Lindzen writes this after Democratic lawmakers launched an investigation into energy industry funding of climate science, looking to discredit scientists whose research challenges the underlying reasons for C02-reducing policies championed by the Obama administration.

There have only been 3 major nuclear accidents in in the last 50 years, and none of them produced the doomsday scenarios envisioned by the naysayers. That's a pretty good track record, and far cleaner than the 100s of tons of pollutants spewed by coal power plants on a daily basis.

So what are your recommendations? More of the same stuff we have been doing? Sticking our heads in the sand and letting the Koch brothers keep getting their way?

that's ridiculous, they work hard to get to the truth

if they were saying what they're told they wouldn't be having their work peer-reviewd

what you're referring to are republicans and paid deniers funded by big oil, the coal industry and the like

"Despite the overwhelming consensus among climate experts that human activity is contributing to rising global temperatures, 66 percent of Americans incorrectly believe there is "a lot of disagreement among scientists about whether or not global warming is happening." The conservative media has fueled this confusion by distorting scientific research, hyping faux-scandals, and giving voice to groups funded by industries that have a financial interest in blocking action on climate change."

I was talking about his 401k.

So, you want a 100% guarantee it will work or it's not even worth trying? That doesn't sound like capitalism. How many business ventures are worth the risk? Saudi Arabia would be a 3rd world toilet if not for oil. We can dictate where we involve ourselves in world affairs if our energy security is complete. The only way we get secure is to figure out whats next before other countries do.

I'm being serious here. I've got money invested in renewable energy, and repeating the mistakes Washington made in the past is only doubling-down on fsailure. There's also the problem that Eco-Alarmists are good about screaming about Global Warming/Climate Change/Global Climate Disruption, but they're not very good about investing in and building renewable energy sources such as nuclear, be it old uranium systems or newer and better thorium power systems.

I understand there is a good chance of failure. The alternative is not trying.

At the rate we're going, there won't be any life left on this planet by 2915, unless there's truth in the concept of reincarnation. Even so, whatever "people" there are who have reincarnated by 2915 will be more like cockroaches than the two-legged "dominant species" we have almost 7 1/2 billion of on the planet today....

Here is my take on this.

Yes, our Earth is warming. There are some positive and negative consequences to this. One of the positives is the increase in arable land as what was once tundra can soon be farmable.

Stay with me, I have a point.

Crops such as rice, corn and soybean...reflect sunlight. Reflected sunlight helps cool the Earth and simultaneusly feeds it's inhabitants.

The best way to air condition a warming planet is to plant crops with hairy leaves as these crops do the best job at reflecting sunlight.

So let's not panic here, it's not all bad. Make the most of a warming planet. start planting lots of crops that reflect sunlight and do so in newly arable lands as the warming makes them suitable for farming now.

More crops, more food, more bio-fuels, less sunlight is absorbed, the overheating planet gets a break.

    Win-Win

To be honest, the subject of global warming is one that only leftists take seriously. Pointing out that you're not actually looking ahead at the important things is far from changing the subject. Parrot.

    - - - Updated - - -

And nothing, NOTHING, can stop that if that's whats going to happen. Are you prepared?

if you had watched the video i showed you earlier you'd know that scientists say much can be done

and in fact has already been done and is continuing to be done worldwide

i am prepared and i reduced my co2 footprint

he said it because it's what's happening, the globe is warming, ice caps are melting and sea level is rising

i accept science over paid liars any day, nasa put a man on the moon and rovers on mars

paid liars tried to convince congress smoking doesn't cause cancer

they're the same liars that say agw isn't real

"Average temperatures in the Arctic region are rising twice as fast as they are elsewhere in the world. Arctic ice is getting thinner, melting and rupturing. For example, the largest single block of ice in the Arctic, the Ward Hunt Ice Shelf, had been around for 3,000 years before it started cracking in 2000. Within two years it had split all the way through and is now breaking into pieces.

The polar ice cap as a whole is shrinking. Images from NASA satellites show that the area of permanent ice cover is contracting at a rate of 9 percent each decade. If this trend continues, summers in the Arctic could become ice-free by the end of the century."

    much of the data for this chart comes from nasa;
