It isn't an assumption, it's based on working with and being around children most of my life. Not to mention I was a child at one point. But your avoidance of answering my question is noted.

I admitted that to an entirely different subject matter, are you unable to keep up? Avoidance to answering the question is noted, again.

What was so absurd about it? Obviously your intended comparison didn't come across as meaningful considering it basically ended the conversation about orbits quite abruptly.

This is gibberish. I already admitted that the definition was socially acceptable. Are you unable to read? What I said was socially unacceptable was what you considered acceptable forms of evidence or argumentation to change your mind.

And what made you accept its validity? I'm going to assume here, and if I'm wrong inform me of what the right answer is, but perhaps it is because it conforms to your preconceived notions of what does count as proof in your mind?

Oh, so you mean you actually abided by socially acceptable forms of evidence and argumentation in court? Man, then I wonder why you refuse to do so in debates like these.

Again, you're being dishonest. You aren't simply seeking any kind of definition, you're seeking definitions that you accept as correct.

I can't teach somebody who isn't willing to argue the merits of evidence or argumentation.

Uh, no, it's an appeal to the definition you provided. The evidence and argumentation compelled my mind, just not yours. Therefore it is proof to me and just not to you. That's the problem with your cherry-picked definition, there isn't any sort of standard beyond subjectivity to declare what is and what is not proof. Everything and anything could be proof under that definition.

With that statement of yours which shows understanding of the principles involved in the definition of 'proof', we can now reverse the argument and apply your argument to against your own claims.

The same as you know about Polaris. Only what has been printed in text books by people who have never been to Polaris.

    Thanks for the information.

Did you learn who your neighbor is? You still haven't answered.

Is that your definition of what is or isn't fiction? If so, I'm glad to know you
realize that the Bible is in fact not fiction.

No, that is the view of those who use the Bible as "authority" to "prove" the Bible is true.

In addition to being recursive...it's ludricrious, since it could be applied to ANY book and if so?.... we had Captain Nemo roaming the oceans in 1868 and Yossarian flying bombing missions out of Italy in 1944.

There you have it folks.....NOTHING we know beyond the Earth (and a few hectares of the Moon)......can be even proven to be true to Incorporeal. And maybe not all of that.

So basically, if Incorporeal believes Edgar Rice Burroughs was "inspired by God".....John Carter and Dejah Thoris are romping around the canals of Mars even today.

Purgatory exist like Heaven and Hell.
Mitt is also right to say there exist only Heaven and Hell.
We Christians share one core belief Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Jesus is God everything else are secondary.
Atheist on the other hand are divided some believe there is no God no life after death. Other believe there is a form of life after death and yet if they do believe there is a form of life after death how can they be atheist?
What kind or type of atheist are you?

There you have it folks... Gorn Captain is refuting the teachings that are found in 'text books". Text books would include all those books that are used in teaching science and astronomy. He refuses to accept that he also learned about Polaris from that same source..... books.... and that is all he KNOWS except for what he read that was written by Edgar Rice Burroughs..... a sci-fi novel.

Yes I say finally because it seem's you are not aware now that we know you are aware.
The difference between Jihad and Crusade is that Jihad is against everything that they consider is not Islamic enough. Crusade is about responding to injustices and protecting the truth.
The Middle East two Muslim groups both claiming to be the real Islam and both have refused to rescind Mohammed's ancient war declaration against Christians, Jews and none Muslims and the only group that is preventing these two Muslims from wiping each other out as well wiping us out are us the Christians.
Christians have accepted many compromises but not Islam they keep on reverting back to their ancient duty to wage wars and jihad against everyone.

There is no mystery in Christianity the only intangible proof that you are having a hard time accepting is the very history and science that I have use to answer all the questions set fort. Atheist and you have problems with Christians agreeing with science and history we Christians have no problem with that because Christians have always been involved with science and history that is why you find yourself always contradicting your own position when we answered all your tough questions.

If I have missed any tough question please ask again and I will gladly answer it.

Humans are humans they are all subject to do something different yes not all Christians are generous just like not all Christians are bad. And then there are people who are none religious are generous and others not so generous.

    Have you found any unicorns?

Deuteronomy 33:17 (KJ21) = His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns. With them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth; and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

Very well....let's just get your answers on the record. No BS imagined answers, as you seem to rely on the sciences....according to you. No dodging with new questions... straight forward and verifiable answers scientifically.

Did the world flood as stated in the Bible(s)?

Did Jesus the Christ die and then live again as stated in the Bible(s)?

Did human kind come into being by means of a deity playing with mud as stated in the Bible(s)?

These three questions will do for right now...if you answer honestly I may submit the next three.

There are a great many "Hard" questions awaiting if you make it past these few.

Considering that your comment was directed at WanRen, I am then at liberty to ask clarifying questions. When you say 'scientifically', are you referring to some conclusion that was reached using the 'scientific method'? If you are, then how are you going to overcome the problem of the 'scientific method' being based on assumptions and assumptions are defined in relevant part as being "without proof"? Show how a scientific finding can be made without use of the scientific method which uses assumptions.

This is the first time I've ever heard this
No, it's no ludicrous. There is more evidence that the Bible is true than either
of the examples you provided, and without knowing they were fiction.

No difference between Jihad and Crusades.

You really ought to study the different types of Crusade. The Crusades, some for political purposes, some economic purposes and some religious purposes. At one point in the 5th Crusade the Crusaders and some Islamic troops worked in conjuction to defeat a city in Egypt. Strange, isn't it.

Well we don't seem to be doing a very good job of it. Islam is spreading, Christianity is declining. Christian nations invading countries in the Middle East has brought Chaos.

As for being aware of the world situation, let me ask you a question?

Were you alive when the State Of Israel came into being, when Israel fought for survival against superior forces. Or the 1956 Suez (Sinai) war. Or the 6 day war (Milhemet Sheshet Ha Yamim) was fought. When Israel won a decisive battle against 3 different Arab countries. Or the 1973 Yom Kippur War when both Egyptian and Syrian launched a joint attack on the Jewish Holiest day of the year.

Were you? Well, I was so I do know the history of what has gone on, which is more than I can say for you.

Referring to the bullocks horns. It doesn't describe the unicorn which
means it could be one of any single horned creatures, i.e. the narwhal,
    rhinoceros.

    Have you found any dodos?

    1. The world did flood as stated in the Bible. In relation to the sudden disappearance of dinosaurs. In relation to the sudden change of earths' geography. And today's scientist believe that another global weather disaster will hit earth.
    2. Yes Jesus Christ lived, died and resurrected according to the Bible supported by history that a man name Jesus of Nazareth was crucified because of blasphemy and his body disappeared only to suddenly find all of Jesus followers becoming totally changed individuals from fear of being tortured and put to painful death like Jesus they become fearless, pious and gave up everything earthly they have they have nothing to gain materially only spiritual.
    3. There was no deity playing with mud only God the single source of all things created all living things according to their kind. And science agree that all living things did came from one single source they call it many things the God-particle, Great Ape, arthropods, cells, etc. and science has assign all known living things according to their classifications.

Islam is growing because of its past and present policy of persecuting anyone who leave or renounce Islam, punishing anyone who dare to preach other religion and to top it all wage war of jihad against all who dare to do all that.
We are doing the best we can but because of our Christian values we dare not stoop down to their level we only hope and pray that one day Muslims will have the courage to stand up against Islam we have already witness a few Muslims in spite of the threat against them they still find the courage to renounce Islam and many have found shelter and protection in Western or Christian countries.
Jihad is about oppression. Crusade is about liberation, justice and truth.
Just a quick note how Muslim leaders will rile their followers against the West but will not do the same against Muslims committing atrocities such as what is happening in Northern Iraq :( that is your Islam.

Dinosaurs disappeared and/or evolved into birds millions of years before man appeared on earth and before the rise of the mammals.

    - - - Updated - - -

Jihad is about the inner struggle to be obedient to the will of God.

Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh, who is also president of the Council of Senior Scholars, has warned young men against perverting the concept of “jihad” (struggle) and wreaking havoc in Muslim countries.

Some reasonable effort to educate yourself would really benefit you, Wan Ren.
