Was God creating Satan a good idea?

Any book that teaches felonies is likely an immoral book, headed by an immoral "prophet" (obviously), and followed by immoral people (and people so immoral that they won't even improve said texts.)

PS But golly, this must be from a Bible that is no longer used, and old outdated not-improved-yet version, obviously, because Christians assure us that they and Jesus have a loving belief system, and obviously no loving belief system would say one is "blessed" (by god!) for smashing babies against rocks - obviously.

 

Agreed. But Sauron is real, and so is Frodo. Frodo seems a lot more ethical than that "Jesus" character, because I'm pretty sure that if FRODO met "Satan" in the wilderness that Frodo would get rid of Satan, or at least arrest him, because Frodo cares about people. That "Jesus" character didn't, when he met Satan in the wilderness, so Frodo is obviously more of a role model than "Jesus".

I think you, FreshAir, would as well.....I know I would....so that makes a bunch of people who are more ethical, more caring, more compassionate, than Sauron (Sauron would not remove Satan.) So Sauron and "Jesus" should be put in the same category, and Frodo and FreshAir should be put in a different category. A higher one.

 

If there is a God, then it would more likely be an advanced life form such as Q in the Next Generation series. Now this God or Q might not have created the universe but assuming evolution works everywhere and this species has been evolving from our type of intelligence to a new state over say, one billion years, whatever it is would look like a God to us.

I'm good with that but maybe the God is not sexual in our sense. Or maybe they are super sexual and their offspring are microbial seeds they send out to planets. They just have sex constantly all over the universe making random mutations on DNA in every increasing ways to insure that life can survive everywhere possible. Or maybe they have five penis's and ten vaginas underneath fifty teats...

Back in 1990 I volunteered for something rather scary.

Within the next year I met "Satan" twice..... or two different Satans........
I suspect that the first Satan I met would be the metaphorical......
Ishbosheth, (he looked a lot like Pan) and the second major Satan that I
met..... disguised himself to remind me of William Wallace of "Braveheart"....
but I don't think I even saw that movie until after my unusual experience.

Take a look at the world you live in. Are you blind to the fact that man is obsolete on earth. What other species can do what man can? Our father created the heavens and earth, and with everything therein, leaves us without excuse. You however, are full of them.

He knows He will have to punish us or condemn us to hell. Because His love for us, this saddens Him. When you get jealous of your girlfriend, do you confront her about it, or keep it to yourself? God keeps it to Himself, until the moment of judgment. Which is when your entire life will be revealed. And at that moment, if you seek forgiveness, you will understand. Humanity already has the cure for cancer, along with aids and most known incurable diseases. It is kept from us for population control and power. I mean cigarettes cause the most deaths every year, it is legal for population control, and the tax dollars they get from them. They care not of the person, but of the money, you blame God. We can split an atom, clone humans and animals. They have taken the dna out of a fish that glows, put it into a mouse, and made the mouse glow. What is kept from you, by humans in power, is no excuse to blame on God. Man creates disease for biological warfare, or enhances already existing diseases. For this you blame God. Your blaming is that of a five year old.

 

Can 1 single person do a deed that is not already known by the Omnipotent being?

God is 'jealous' or envious of satan when humans choose those ways. A sin by the definition of christians.

 

Hell becomes another problem for the Believer.

Infinite torture is a "just reward" for even simply being an agnostic???

Some try the "There is no Hell, it just means you aren't resurrected"....but the Bible's references to Hell, contradict that.

So either they're left with saying God is a real sadistic b*stard....or the Bible is wrong.

 

Not sure how I proved your point, but it would seem your saying God forces us to do as He says, or go to hell. Which with Him being the creator, even if that was true, it does not matter. He is the creator, and because of that, His will, shall be done. However, can you name one thing, that if followed, shows God's way is bad? No, because His way is that of love. Everything about Him is of love.

If you have children, do you love them? And if so, because of that love, do you not punish them? Why would you punish them or force them to do something they choose not? Because you love them. If somebody's child kills someone, is that the parent's fault? That is what your saying about God.
