What liberty do you have when you actions result in you being imprisoned and tortured?

God and Jesus said many things. If you read the 10 commandments, which are the definitive summary, you will see they assume private property.

Then you agree that Christianity does not promote individual liberty.

I'm sure Jesus would find that meaningful as millions live in poverty and half the world's wealth is in the hands of a few.

Except Jesus did have a jail. He had a jail more brutal and restrictive than any gulag a dictator ever created.

he would find Christian capitalism meaningful as it just ended poverty in China saving another 60 million from slow starvation to death and ushering 800,000 million into the middle class.

Why should that matter? Would it still be freedom if you did something and the government said, “well, we’re not going to do anything to you today for that, but in ten years we’re going to imprison and torture you for the rest of your life”?

It also doesn’t promote individual freedom for gays, or for people who worship anything other than Jesus, or for people who commit any other sin.

All of them are to be locked away in a prison and tortured forever.

Except Jesus’s government is going to have control over that cosmic jail and he will, according to the Bible, take a giant **** all over individual liberty.

Nope. You can take comfort that according to Jesus you have the same chance of getting to heave as a camel has passing through the eye of a needle.

On a cosmic scale, you are right. Hell is more like if a one second old baby did something “wrong”, so you then locked it in the basement and tortured it until it was 100, except infinitely worse than that because that person would eventually die, but Jesus’s eternal liberty-hating gulag goes on forever.

Why should they be held to different standards? Individual freedoms should be respected regardless.

Jesus hates them and wants to torture people who don’t follow his theocratic dictatorship.

I'm not rich so that doesn't apply to me.

In fact I'm so broke I think I get into Heaven by default.

I’m only going by what the Bible claims. And I’ve already commented on the op. Clearly Jesus did not support individual freedom given that he supports torturing people who don’t follow his rule.
